National Aerotropolis Development Initiative (NADI) Overview The National Aerotropolis Development Initiative (NADI) is a landmark infrastructure and investment program spearheaded by IGLOO GROUP OF COMPANIES in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Aviation & Aerospace Development. NADI is designed to transform Nigeria’s aviation landscape into a globally competitive network of nine Aerotropolis Cities, each built around a major airport hub to catalyze economic growth, logistics, tourism, and sustainable urban living. Each Aerotropolis City combines airport-driven industrial, residential, commercial, and tourism clusters, creating smart, self-sustaining ecosystems that integrate modern infrastructure, digital technology, and environmental balance. --- The Vision To position Nigeria as Africa’s Aviation Capital through the creation of world-class Aerotropolis cities that attract global investors, support regional connectivity, and promote long-term national prosperity. --- The Mission To develop, finance, and operate nine fully integrated Aerotropolis cities across Nigeria under a Build–Operate–Transfer (BOT) and Public–Private Partnership (PPP) framework — setting new benchmarks for aviation-centric urbanization. --- Strategic Objectives To align with the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Agenda of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. To boost foreign direct investment (FDI) through sustainable mega-city infrastructure. To enhance aviation-led logistics, tourism, and manufacturing. To create millions of jobs across construction, services, and technology sectors. To introduce green energy, smart mobility, and digital governance systems across all cities. To strengthen Nigeria’s role as the gateway to African and global trade. --- Scope of Development NADI comprises nine Aerotropolis Cities strategically distributed across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones: 1. Abuja Aerotropolis – North Central Nigeria 2. Lagos Aerotropolis – South West Nigeria 3. Port Harcourt Aerotropolis – South South Nigeria 4. Delta Aerotropolis – South South Nigeria 5. Enugu Aerotropolis – South East Nigeria 6. Kano Aerotropolis – North West Nigeria 7. Sokoto Aerotropolis – North West Nigeria 8. Maiduguri Aerotropolis – North East Nigeria 9. Akure Aerotropolis – South West Nigeria Each city spans between 7,000 and 25,000 hectares, developed under globally recognized planning, environmental, and engineering standards. --- Development Model The NADI program is executed through a structured BOT / PPP framework, ensuring transparent collaboration between public and private sectors. IGLOO GROUP OF COMPANIES, as the BOT Holder, provides comprehensive leadership across all planning, financing, engineering, construction, and operations phases — engaging global partners, contractors, and financiers to deliver sustainable, resilient, and investor-ready Aerotropolis cities. --- Core Components Aviation & Logistics Hubs – Cargo, passenger, and maintenance zones. Integrated Rail & Road Networks – Efficient transport linking airports to cities. --- Economic Impact The National Aerotropolis Development Initiative is projected to: Inject over USD 33 billion (≈ ₦49.5 trillion) into Nigeria’s economy.
